2021.12.06 20:47 spiceeandsugar My husband wants a 3 month game pass for Christmas. How do I get this for him?

(Please delete if this type of question isn’t allowed! Clueless wife here just looking for guidance ideally without having to ask my husband questions so that this can remain a surprise until Christmas)
My husband games on his computePC. I know for a fact that he does not have an X Box but he does have a Nintendo Switch. However he plays all his games on his computer. He mentioned wanting a 3 month game pass subscription in passing so I want to get this for him for Christmas. When I Google it, I only find “X Box game pass.” But I really don’t think he has an x box. Also I’m not sure if the 3 months will start the moment I purchase or if it’ll start once he activates it? Any guidance is super helpful!! Thank you everyone!

2021.12.06 20:47 CurrentCap9163 Too persistent and need help.

Hey, what’s good? As the title says I’m too persistent and I won’t it not be a bottlenecking issue of mine.
In this particular case it’s with making friends, dating etc. Good news is I have a date set with a girl and we still plan on going!
Anyways, to get to the point, I can’t help myself but reply even if I don’t need too. I even end up asking questions what have zero value and know I shouldn’t be asking because it’s stupid and I know the answer or because I know I just shouldn’t ask. Or both.
The persistence is great when I want something I don’t need but when it’s something I want and need it drives that thing/relationship into the ground even if it starts really well.
For the more curious folks, I’ve met someone I really like and it started really great and is still going great but I know I’m starting to be persistent (only one major occurrence so not a biggie) and I don’t want to ruin it.
Apologies if this isn’t the proper subreddit.

Hello guys, I'm trying to implement Google sign in with a react native expo app.
On the development mode, It opens the browser, gives back response type success, returns an access token and logs in.
On the production mode when I build the app as apk, it always returns response type dismiss although it is using the exact same code as in development!

Any idea ?

2021.12.06 20:47 therealmilanmac Sex?? Communication?? Is He Losing Interest??

After reading a book titled His Secret Obsession I realized that If you want to trigger strong feelings of attraction and adoration in your man, you have to know how to get on the same frequency with him.Imagine never having to deal with his silent treatment again. (Which is just really code for "I'm angry but don't want to talk about it".)When you know how to read him and know what he's thinking and feeling, unpleasant situations like the silent treatment will be a thing of the past.
Next time your man shuts you out do this :If you’ve ever experienced the pain of an emotionally dead relationship or if you’ve ever had a man suddenly pull away and shut you out...Then what you’re about to find out will completely change the way men treat you and even how YOU experience relationships,Because at the end of the day, men secretly want just one thing And once you understand this one crucial craving that men have…It will be plain as day to you why it’s the number one reason men pull away.
All these things are important, the surprising factor that can make ALL the difference in a relationship and few, if any women (or men) are even aware of it! The key is understanding men on a deep emotional level, and how the subtle things you say to a man affect him much more than you might think.

2021.12.06 20:47 twotrashpandas Recommendations for someone who is moving from one extreme to another

Pretty much the title. I am moving from Arizona dry climate to South Florida in January. I get botox for migraines every 3 months. I used to be great at skin care. I had a great routine set when I lived in Virginia and it just kind of fell apart upon moving here to the desert. Thankfully, my skin didn't freak out on me and turn into the crypt keeper. I never lived in Florida. I know that it is humid. We are gonna be 15 minutes from the beach. I know to keep up with my sun screen, but, I know that I have officially crossed into perimenopause also and will be in a brand new climate (oh joy). I just need some recommendations from some people that don't still have fetus skin to talk to me. I am 34 btw. I have a steamer, an at home Microderm appliance, one of those pore sucker things, a PMD, and a skin care fridge. I also have jade rollers and a needle roller. I have mainly just been using dove bar soap or a basic skin cleanser, and whatever SPF 30 product during the day and if I remember to moisturize at night I do. So, product recommendations would be great. I am willing to pay reasonable prices. I am no La Mer kind of person but for getting my system back up and going I'm willing to splurge a bit. Thanks kind people.

To preface this, I know it will likely go away and that this probably seems quite silly. A past partner of mine was and is an emetophobe, and since we've broken up I've found myself irrationally afraid of tu* as well. I'm less interested in the psychological mechanisms behind this and more interested in how to cope until it goes away. Any advice?

2021.12.06 20:47 buildbetterbaseball The Get 1% Better Mindset // Accomplish All the Goals You Set for Yourself

Here's a video version of the post if you prefer video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Al5UiQvA8c&t=1s
Failure. We’ve all been there. Me, you, parents, grandparents, children, close friends, and strangers we’ve never met. If there’s one single thing that every human being on this earth has in common – it’s the fact that we’ve all experienced failure at some point in our lives. Failure has many forms and can come in all shapes and sizes. It could be something you don’t even notice, or it could be a life altering event that shifts your entire life into a different direction. In today’s Bullpen Bulletin, we’re diving into a mindset that I call “Get 1% Better”, and you can use it not only to accomplish your baseball goals, but also any goal you set in your life, long after you’re done with baseball. Now, let’s make sure we accomplish all of our goals with the 1% better mindset.
#1: Why do we fail?
Being an elementary school physical education teacher, I’m around kids playing games and sports every single day. I would say 90% of my job is teaching kids, kindergarten to 5th grade, brand new skills that they’ve never done before - like throwing or kicking a ball, dribbling and shooting a basketball, or doing a cart-wheel, just to name a few. With all of these kids trying new skills, I’ve seen a lot of big smiles and cheering because they did a skill successfully for the first time in their life – but I’ve also seen a lot of sad faces and giving up from kids who didn’t succeed.
My definition of failure doesn’t have to do with not succeeding – I consider someone failing as not continuing to try after not succeeding, basically giving up. That’s failure. From my time as a PE teacher, I’ve broken down failure to 2 big reasons that kids, and adults, fail. These two reasons are different, but they relate to each other. One of the reasons why we fail is because we simply don’t think we can do it. We don’t have confidence in ourselves to accomplish something, so we don’t even try. Or we try one time, don’t succeed, and say to ourselves, “see, I told you so!”, and give up trying. This mindset of “I can’t do it” will win every time if you let it.
The second reason is that the task, or goal, is too big to be accomplished in one sitting and we get overwhelmed, so we give up on trying for it. This goes with the previous reason in the fact that we see this big, huge goal that we want to accomplish, like playing high school baseball for example - but it’s overwhelming because of its size and the amount of time it will take, and then we don’t think we can do it because the end is too far to see from where you are now. This is where the 1% better mindset comes into play.
#2: Why is finding success so hard?
Before we get into the mindset, I’d like to quickly mention why I think achieving success is so hard for us and give you a tool I always tell my students that helps them not give up. I think success is so hard to achieve simply because it’s surrounded by endless ways to give up and fail. If you think about climbing a mountain all the way to the top – success is only found at the very top, that’s the only place it lives, and that’s the only place where you’ll find it. There’s no shortcut, there’s no elevator, there’s no magic that will teleport you to the top – just have to start climbing. During the climb, you’ll find every reason to quit and turn back. You’ll stumble, you’ll slip, you’ll scrape your knees and bruise your hands, you’ll see other people coming back down and when they pass you they’ll try to bring you down with them and say, “turn back, it’s not worth it!”.
With all of these ways to quit while you’re climbing to achieving your goal, it’s no wonder we quit and fail more times than we succeed, because it’s easier! Whenever you’re feeling your mind telling you, “I can’t” – I want you to turn those words into “I can try”. That’s what I tell my PE students when they say, “I can’t” – I say those words aren’t allowed in my gym and those words transform into “I can try”. When you try, you’ll never fail. When you try, you’re giving yourself a chance to succeed, and that’s all you need.
#3: The 1% better mindset
One of my favorite quotes that I live by, and is the inspiration behind this mindset, comes from Will Smith, the actor. It has to do with the idea of improving in small bits every day in order to accomplish a much bigger goal. He talks about building a wall. Now, if you look at the whole task of building a wall – it’s a huge task that can’t be accomplished overnight, and if you start by looking at the whole wall you have to build, that seems almost impossible.
His quote is, “You don’t set out to build a wall. You don’t say “I’m going to build the biggest, baddest, greatest wall that’s ever been built. You don’t start there. You say, “I’m going to lay this brick as perfectly as a brick can be laid”. If you do that every single day, soon you’ll have a wall”. This quote is so powerful because it applies to any goal you set in life. Goals are big tasks, like building a wall, but if you break the goals down into little mini goals to accomplish every day, like laying each brick as perfectly as you can, then those mini goals will add up to accomplish the big goal.
I call this idea getting 1% better every day. If you have this mindset of getting 1% better every day - just trying to improve or accomplish one thing every day and have laser focus on that one thing to improve on – before you know it, you’ll accomplish what you want to accomplish. With this mindset, your goals will be much more achievable, and you’ll have a much greater chance to stick with them. If you try and get 100% better in one day, that’s just a greater chance for you to not succeed and give up.
If you’re working on the mechanics of pitching, hitting, or anything else, focus on one thing to work on. Work on only that for that day of practice and make that part perfect. Then the next day, focus on something else. Keep doing this every day and before you know it, you’ll be where you want to be. This is the best way to accomplish your big goals. Break them down into little bite size pieces and have a goal of getting 1% better every day.

Let me know in the comments below – how do you feel about the 1% better mindset? Does it make sense to you, and do you think you can use it? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
